Cox Media Group employees are always making innovation a big part of everything they do.
For the second year running, the very best of that work will be recognized at the annual CMG Leadership Conference in Orlando.
We are delighted to announce the 2017 Cox Media Group Innovation Awards, to be presented March 29th during a ceremony/cocktail reception at the JW Marriott Grand Lakes. All employees (except those who participated in the 2016 Garage Project, thus have an unfair head start) are eligible for nomination.
One person will win, but three finalists will be recognized on stage.
Criteria for the award include:
- Did the nominee solve an old problem in an exciting new way?
- Was it successful?
- Did the idea generate new revenue or audience?
- Did it save money in an innovative way?
- If it was a failure, did the nominee share his or her learnings with others?
- Did the nominee collaborate — successfully involve others?
The point here is that while we always prefer wild and lucrative success, our company culture supports creative failures as well, especially when valuable lessons are learned.
Nominations for the award are due by Friday, Feb. 19 at 5 p.m. EST.
NOTE: While anyone can nominate anyone else, you must receive the support of your market manager or organizational leader before making the nomination.
Finalists and winners will be selected by a panel of judges from CMG executive leadership and the CMG Innovation Team. Finalists will be notified by March 1 in order to make travel plans to Orlando.
